Yes. No. Yes.
I still think an IWC mark XVI for a guy his age is subtle and versatile enough.
UNIFORM LA CHILLICOTHE WORK JACKET Drop, going on right now.
Uniform LA's Chillicothe Work Jacket is an elevated take on the classic Detroit Work Jacket. Made of ultra-premium 14-ounce Japanese canvas, it has been meticulously washed and hand distressed to replicate vintage workwear that’s been worn for years, and available in three colors.
This just dropped today. If you missed out on the preorder, there are some sizes left, but they won't be around for long. Check out the remaining stock here
Good luck!.

22 and you have 2.5k to spend on watches?
Its possible.
are you sure you have to wear a suit every day? Are you working in finance or something? MBB at the undergrad level are mostly slacks and shirts, right? Why did you decide you wanted a watch?

Second this opinion. I'd have to alter every sleeve I have to wear my Luminor under. I'd suggest a 210/183 for a classic look. You might be able to find one in the 3700-3800 range with a desperate seller.
Speedmaster a solid choice as well. Just don't get a Tag.
Just a thought, but if you're 22 maybe you don't need to jump right into the 3000-dollar watch game. Have you looked around at what's available for less than that? (And thought about what's gonna happen if you scratch the face in the first week after dropping 3 Gs on it?)
Well I already own the basics of a working wardrobe (suits, shoes, shirts, ties) so basically I'll use my signing bonus to get the watch. I will start saving money for important things as I start getting paychecks. This watch is all I will be getting for a good while in the "nice" category.
