Don't mean to hijack the thread but does anyone have any restaurant recommendations near the Raleigh-Durham airport? I'm visiting briefly, and want to try some southern bbq.
Ok, there is definitely some really great food in the triangle, far better than just mediocre, and many of the places have already been mentioned. Magnolia Grill, Elaine's, The Lantern (written up in the Times), many places in Carborro and on East Franklin heading in that direction (around the Lantern and Elaine's. Probably one of the best, if not the best, areas for cuisine in the whole of the South.
I am not trying to be mean, but a few people have mentioned Players.
