All Minnis... tried the excelsior and savile row line - they feel very nice, although, the excelsior is verrryy light/fine. The Savile row has more weight to it.

The dark blue is moleskin and the rest are flannel (air force blue, charcoal, brown, blue spot effect)...

Very nice stuff. Do you remember the number for this fabric?

0902 and 2574 are classic patterns.

I think that the Fine Classics book from the Harrison's group has a 12oz variant which is also really nice looking.

Got this for Christmas: Shetland tweed from W. Bill, 2.5 meters. I can't wait to have it made up one day.

Wrong. For example self facing (should he desire it) would add a significant amount to the length required, and he would need extra for pattern matching the windowpane in this fabric. It's always best to have a little extra - especially as the source implies that this fabric may be pretty scarce or even vintage and not made anymore - lest a sleeve or lapel turn out wrong; cutters are human, after all. Finally there is also the (distinct) possibility that this is a single width (or as someone once insisted to me, 'half width') piece of tweed, necessitating greater yardage.

My thinking was along the lines of A.'s. For only slightly more cost upfront, I can be much more assured that there will be enough cloth to complete my order successfully. Why cut it so close?

Nobody has the number of this beautiful Row 120's wool and cashmere dark blue fabric?

Thanks--I'm quite enamored with it. Of all the cloth I've acquired, it is the only one I'm 100% sure about.

That looks wonderful. I have some nice cashmere sweaters from them.
