True Religion jeans are tacky, I think we all agree on that. But where some of us differ from the majority on this forum is that some of us don't mind prewashed jeans. That being said, there are some that do it better than others. Citizens of Humanity, PRPS, and Earnest Sewn seem to do it better than 7 or rock & republic.

Personally, I think while TR may be a little gaudy, I can appreciate the amount of work that goes into a pair of them. They DO use high quality denim. Granted, its not dry japanese denim, but they have some pairs that are 13oz, 14oz and higher. Their stitching in beautiful and extremely durable. The little details they have on their jeans are quite nice and the level of quality throughout their line is exceptional.

Most of their designs, are a little out there, but you cant deny they make an extremely high-quality garment.

If I were buying washes, I would buy PRPS, Nudie, or Acne.

But I won't be. My next pair of jeans will probably be the same pair I have now (Momo 0701) but maybe up a size.

Thats not the point, dipshit. Everyone in here is hating on TR because it's cool, even though they are, from a technical standpoint, an exceptional jean. Very well made and high quality. I dont know how you can dispute that.

I dont like them and I dont own them, but you cant appreicate denim and not at least agree that they are a well made jean.

What is deemed 'cool' or not is a highly subjective and contentious issue. That said, however, with a bit of digging around on the denim threads of this forum (and I accentuate the "this" bit on purpose), you will find that jeans touted by the Black Eyed Peas aren't deemed cool. Also, please note that this is not a price issue: you'll find guys getting more props for rocking a pair of £40 selvage Uniqlo jeans because: a) they're not bootcut and b) they're devoid of any obnoxious, loud stitching and pockets that yell the brand name.

What's wrong with bootcut?
