I actually think it's a surprisingly good outfit - could be great with some swagger. Just really bad facial hair and hairdo.

Obviously it's no where near as good as snake's, because that's his look that he mastered. I never tried challenging him, I just like his look and tried matching it with my own persona.

And there's no way I can really pull it off as well as he does anyway wearing AX pants lol.

As for the facial hair... I think that's a geographical thing TBH. Everyone has always complained about my facial hair in all the WAYWT's I posted so far. Then again, if you look at everyone who posts here, almost everyone of you is clean shaved, so it's not so much a matter of a clean form rather that most of you would prefer no beard at all. But in the south here it's kinda the norm... especially where I work at, they encourage you to have some sort of beard to make the restaurant more "roadhouse" like. Most people like my goatee anyway.

I could probably clean up the neckbeard a bit though, just didn't bother before getting my girl to take the picture.

There's a difference between what you want to wear and what you should wear.

Btw this was the particular look I was trying to imitate: http://www.styleforum.net/showthread...78#post3457278 I wish it looked as good as that. I'm a different body type though, I'm not ninja-slender, so I honestly don't know if I should even bother with this type of fit anymore. Should I revert back to more traditional form, ie: button down shirts, sportcoats, etc..? Or do you think I could pull off the Viridi-look with a bit more practice?

Facial hair is so dope. I never go clean shaven. But I also don't sport a goatee that makes me look like a 47 year old Chelsea gallery rat cruising for Tisch students circa 94.

What is it that looks bad then? Is it the bald spot right in the middle of my chin?

Thing is, my facial hair grows VERRRRY slow. Believe it or not, that picture is about 10 days of growth, and I'm almost 22 years old.

Got any suggestions, or should I just start shaving clean?

CrazyJew, your torso looks pretty good, I like that cardigan a lot. Solids or physical textures work better for drapey stuff though, the stripes on the pants are throwing me off but it's not inexcusable. I can't really see the shoes, but offhand I would rather see a gray than more white.

Your facial hair, haircut, and sunglasses are totally disorienting though. Don't **** around with wispy facial hair unless you're going for allover scruff (and even then, use discretion). Don't gel and spike your hair into an fauxhawk if the rest of the look is soft and billowy. The glasses make it look like your forehead is 8 inches tall and flows directly into your nose, not something I would recommend.

People say not to wear things you aren't suited for, but honestly you only live once and it's way better to make mistakes than to play it safe. Don't start buying JCrew bro, follow the dream.

Also why would you link to the picture of snake doing it way better, that's just asking for it.

"Hey guys I just got my new TOJ leather and Nike hi-tops, let me link to a picture of nicelynice wearing the Julius DR and Rick dunks to show you what I'm going for."

I was traveling somewhere and forgot to bring a razor, it was only for like 4 days so I just didn't shave. I went to see one of my friends and she was like "omg you look so much better with scruff you don't look like a kid" and since then I've been proudly shaving only once a week or two. also you can't fake goth-ninja pieces by just not ironing clothes or buttoning them weirdly lmao you guys have to go out and at least look at some of this **** and realize the construction on the interesting pieces is INSANE with multiple layers of fabric and seams going everywhere to give it just the right fit. You can't just DIY it for no cost whatsoever, if you figure out how to DIY gothninja for $12 lmao you are a designer, and should start your own brand right away. Those ax pants look like a joke :\\

Take a look at how the designers themselves, the models and the people who wear the clothes carry and groom themselves. As I said before "Rick Owens doesn't stop at the neckline."

The sort of Dark Romantic look (goth ninja) is generally influenced by extremes or fringes of society: rock culture, high fashion, vintage eras etc. Look how people in rock culture wear facial hair and hairdos....

CrazyJew- I think you've got the right idea, just take some time and figure out what works for you and slowly get the pieces that you need.
