^ thanks, i no longer have it, sadly- took it in a trade but ended up feeling it was just too dressy for my day to day streetwear. it's a stunning watch, i would certainly recommend it if you want a moonphase.

What did you take in trade?

It's beautiful

Weren't you the one complaining about the wide bezel?

i honestly dislike the new villeret with the bigger roman numerals. they are a good deal tho on the second hand market. i think one can even spring for a vintage 34mm perpetual in yellow gold for just a little more on a new ss moonphase..

Yeah, I preferred the old reason... I just love that Villeret Moonphase though.

And Apropos, I feel like the MUT Moon is calling for you. Heed the call.

I support this decision!

Regarding the size of the moonphase aperture: it does not seem small to me. The numbers on the date ring are slightly small and they flip when you go to the "southern hemisphere" around the dial--kinda sucks that 9 is the first number at 3oclock to do that as it could be confused for a 6 but I agree w the decision. If that approach bothers you then note GP did it the opposite way.

One of the biggest reasons I waited to see it in person before I bought it was this: I think the balance on the JLC Master Ultra Thin (the 40mm one that looks exactly like the MUT MP but with a small seconds dial at 6pm) is off. To my eye, the case is too large for the size of the second hand dial. Either reduce the case size or increase the small seconds dial. Fortunately for me, the proportions are spot on for the MUT Moon (to me). I don't know if you had the same concern, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

Both are beautiful watches. In the final analysis, I think it really comes down to simplicity v complication.

Thanks for your input, really appreciated.

Here is my situation - I have seen the MUT 39mm moon in person, but only the SS version. The RG one interests me more - the SS I personally find a little too 'cold' on my wrist. The proportions are lovely, but I second guessed myself and wondered earlier whether there was a 38-39mm MP watch with the MP being a larger % of he dial (I apologise for not having been clear enough earlier). Unfortunately the dealer I was at did not have any RG examples in stock, and I need to see it in person first.

The 1931 tribute interests me, but (again) the dealer I was at did not have an example to try (Australia... :( ). It looks lovely in photos, but I have some reservations about the 47mm height. The 60th Anniversary Reverso (at 42mm) is a perfect fit on my wrist and I am unsure how the longer (albeit thinner) 1931 will look. I, like gdl, have in the intervening 2 days since I last posted convinced myself that I prefer the dial on the USA 1931, faux patina and all.

As for the PP, lovely, but at that price range I'd much rather go for a ALS L1 and blow the rest on Columbian 'escorts', which I hear are like iPhones or fine rums. :satisfied:

Decisions, decisions.

Nice Aquatimer! I have wanted the white one for quite some time.

Oh, and nice girlfriend, for that matter. Does she happen to have a sister :)
