Is it just me, or does that caseback look kinda rough compared to the rest of the watch?

Not necessarily a deal-killer, but considering the sticker is still there...just seems a bit incongruous.

That may be of little or no concern to Monsieur Rooster, of course, and it does seem in decent condition overall.

I would say it's priced competitively, for a recently-serviced piece with the indicated accessories.

Plus, IMHO Explorers are great watches :slayer:

It's definitely the sticker, that thing gets nasty if you don't remove it and then wear it for years.

Fair enough then.

I've never been one to keep the decals on the watch anyway.

I also take them off my New Era caps.... but that's just how I roll.

Funny enough, watched Alien 3 DC last night, as part of a 4 nights rerun. What a piece of overlong drivel. Fincher can do wrong after all.
Back to 'melting', attempts to drown said Alien in molten lead failed... but you all know that.

Ps: On thread topic, feel a personal melt-down coming. Blaming Dino.

Wasn't he like 19 when he directed that though? And he came in at short notice, looking at Alien 4 its a masterpiece.

Then you look at prometheus......I think I prefer Alien 3 over that as well!

I decided against for now. I was really tempted but the no date function continued to bother me as I use it a lot.

Has anyone traded across the Can/US border? I wonder how customs views that.

That version isn't really a director's cut, though (Fincher wasn't involved in it and says he hasn't even seen it). Granted, it's an attempt to piece together the material they had on hand to make a version closer to Fincher's vision, compared to the theatrical release, where (the first time directing a feature film) Fincher wasn't really in charge.

When asked if he'd make a director's cut he allegedly said 'Sure, if I can go back and reshoot the whole thing' (or something to that effect).

Not sure what I did. Wishing you luck ;)

If speaking about Rolex, its a HUGE no no! You can buy a Rolex outside the US and wear it in, but you can't ship a Rolex into the US. There are incredibly strict customs regulations regarding importing Rolexes into the US. If you get caught, customs confiscates the watch and it's your loss!

Holy crap!

It would be going from the US to Canada but good to know.

Walked in the door this afternoon and caught these two red handed, on top of each other.

Yes, very serious issues with importing a Rolex to the US. A very well known British vintage Rolex seller has a disclaimer saying something to the effect of he won't sell to people in the US, unless they notify him they will make arrangements to pick it up personally, or have an agent personally pick it up and wear it into the US.

Not sure about any regulations concerning importing a Rolex to Canada. You'd need to look into that yourself. Just be sure there won't be importation problems with shipping one into Canada.
