Love these! What sole is on these... some sort of commando?

I'm organizing the next round of GMTOs over on /r/goodyearwelt which will include a bunch of awesome Horween Shell Cordovan colors this time around (Dark Cognac, Whiskey, Mahogany, Brown, Color 8, Black, Navy, etc). I'd be interested to see if he can do this type of commando sole again.

Yes, that is a commando sole. I purchased those a couple of years ago from J Gilbert, they were either the last pair or one of the last pairs they had.

I saw that (and commented). I think o would be interested in something in navy, if Ron could Make a boot in EEE/H width.

Took delivery of my Carmina x GYW PTBs in Cognac shell today. Gorgeous shoes! Fit is ok. Color looks very close to undyed color 8.

Interesting, those may actually be Ravello then... The Cigar is model number 24802.

Yes Sir,

I got accepted into Grad School the 3rd week of August this year and hit the ground running.

The whole process unfolded rather quickly, like, really, really quickly...

So, I've been working and going to school and raising a family.

I still frequent SF regularly though.

Once I fall into the groove of the school I attend and get a better feel for the protocol, I think I will be able to post more.

The #4 EB bal boots are due at the end of this month, so says @Leaves

A few photos of my /r/goodyearwelt GMTO of the Carmina Cognac Shell Cordovan Plain Toe Bluchers. Incredibly pleased with how these turned out. The color is almost like a Ravello shade. Detroit last is great for my foot too which I was a bit worried about.

New to this forum. Is anybody familiar with T. M. Little, and, if so, do they make shell cordovan shoes? I found a pair in a thrift shop that feels like shell to me, but I've only handled shell a couple of times and don't trust my eye for this sort of thing.
