Sometime around 1994, I decided to never ever wear a yellow tie with a blue shirt but this doesn't look bad at all. Very color-coordinated, which is how I tend to dress, lacking the second or third degree color sprezzatura skills generally promoted around here.

It's funny for the longest time I hated yellow ties but I've found a few (the one pictured is more gold than yellow) that work quite well with the right things. Drakes has made a few yellow madder ties over the last couple of years that look great with tweeds or flannels.

I also have a EG cappelli tie in yellow with red and blue flowers that I wear during the summer.

I think you're 0 for 2 on LH DB's (unless there are even worse specimens that you're not posting). The last one was short and stuffy and this one is simply awful in every conceivable respect. Your LH SB's generally look great, though. I'm surprised that you commission suits because you like them (or think you like them) even though they are totally incompatible with your height. This is not a poke at your height - I'm not too tall, myself. This is simply to say that DB's are extremely sensitive territory for any man under 5'8" and execution has to be ******* impeccable or else you look like a tiny little dress up doll. I will be shocked out of my mind if you're still wearing this in a year - I'm guessing it will end up in the same pile your Oxxfords ended up.

We all make mistakes:

1. Foo's suit

2. The tone of these comments

The cuffs of the trousers seems to fit the person quite well. In my opinion every detail of a fitting garment of any style or fashion isn't just a body fit but also proportions of this to that and so on, so from head to foot everything part works with each other. The cuffs, in this case, are proportionate to the head tying the top to the bottom together. There are some details inbetween that I would do different. The cuffs widths draw you back to the head, which they should, and not to other parts of the body, or worst yet, away from the person. Many tailors, I suppose, pin fit, but they don't really pin fit the overall picture. They don't understand boundaries and lines going out of the picture and etc. Some tailors get parts of a garment right by accident. Narrower cuffs would work fine but other details would need to change to fit the visual completeness. This is all very much and art.
