I visited my Champagne consigliere today to pick up some vintage for a birthday dinner tomorrow.

Going for out of the box:Any recommendations for an everyday sipper in the $20-$30 range? As I look through our stash, it ends up being the same 5-6 wines and looking for something new.
Have you tried the RRV Pinot from Michael Pozzan yet? The Pessimist by Dao is usually pretty solid. Loring and Siduri both have multiple bottlings in that price range.
Going for out of the box:
Turley Old Vines (zin) or Bechthold Cinsault if you want something lighter/not cab centric. Cinsault is amazing summer sipper.
There's tons of Rioja options (probably riserva/crianza) from any of the big houses (Muga/CVNE/Heredia/LRA)
Rose season coming up - look at Pradeaux (heavier/red wine type rose), Marquiliani (total opposite, very light, looks like water), Gros Nore
some kind of Grenache/GSM blend - Jean Royer le petit roy? Tablas Creek Patelin de Tablas Rouge?
