Me too. Ever since the Vicuna coat, nothing seems exciting anymore. I just wander the aisles and say 'eh' to myself at everything, then leave.

Found 5 belts the other day, never find belts, a Barney's, 2 Coach belts, a Brooks Brothers, and a Levis. Bought them, but no tinge of excitement. It wasnt Vicuna.

It's kind of like once you've slept with a supermodel, no other girls attract your attention.

Does your Goodwill keep all that on display? The one I visit most only puts the right shoe out. I went to another the other day where they had their "better" shoes piled up in a display case.

Actually, I am finding this season's stuff to be better than last. Part of it is that I have broadened my brand knowledge. For example, last year I probably would have left the Norman Hilton and Chipp items that I have recently bought.

A double Kiton day for me. Both brown and both cashmere. One fit like a dream and went home with me. The other was quite odd. Tagged as a 44L but fit my chest and shoulders beautifully (I am 40R). However it was at least 3" too long in the body but the sleeves fit pretty well. Made for one tall, skinny sonofagun with short arms. I would have bought it to flip, but the measurements seemed so jacked up I just didn't bother.

14 trips (multiple to some stores) and nothing. Maybe the eBayer's are beating me to the punch...maybe people aren't donating...maybe my luck is running dry.

Glad to see some posts about strikeouts to keep things realistic in here among the Kiton and vicuna finds.

Went today after class, found a nice Pal Zileri blue nailhead suit in pretty good condition, but too big. For anyone in the Philadelphia area, it's at the Junior League Thrift Shop in Ardmore.

When I lived in Chicago I would usually hit up the brown elephant in Wrigleyville. And I believe it's called the buffalo exchange in wicker park. All the other thrift/vintage shops in wicker are really expensive.

crazy find on those rescues...look barely worn...

You would think most people buying that kind of denim would either hold on to it longer or be on a forum like this where they get sold

Exactly - people who buy raw denim usually buy them to break them in and make their own fades. It's extremely rare that I find streetwear stuff at a thrift too, so this was a special treat. Even though the waist fits great, they're hemmed too short! I like to cuff my jeans, but if I can't find them a home within the next few days, I'll hang onto them and wear them normally, as they're at the perfect, no stacking length right now. I look like a goof with them cuffed - looks like I'm wearing capris.
