Personal score today!!! I'd been on the lookout for a varsity jacket for some time now but I never expected to find one that fits perfect and that I'd actually pay retail pricing for (eh, not really - $500+). Dehen 1920 black/black sans team icons in minty condition. And to think, it was one of those, "eh, lets see if they have anything new type of a pit stop"!

Wow! That's a crazy find. I've been drooling over their "1920" sweater like the one below for over a year. At $250 retail and down around $200 on sale, it's a big bullet to bite. Local shop has a few in stock, but I'm not holding my breath over finding one at a thrift store.

who makes jackets for Battistoni? Found a ******* SWEET herringbone navy 2 button, side vented, ticket pocket having 100% winter weight cashmere sport coat. its like a thick flannel cashmere. It looks like it may have been worn once. Very recent.

Castangia makes Battistoni's tailored stuff. Never seen one in the wild before, only at Barney's. Gorgeous stuff, really well made. What size? :D

For whatever reason I was perusing sig links and came across Fueco's blog. Totally recommended. Unlike most blogs, this one's both well-written and informative — from carbon dating Harris Tweed labels to why Pendleton shirts are a joy to the psychology of why we thrift, et. al. Entirely worthy of a permanent bookmark imho.

I joined after Frency disappeared but based off what he's posted we are in the same hunting grounds...I passed on his suede bally loafers in store a while back and was checking out his retro glass/wood coffee tables after they were purchased and put aside with a sold sign on em

Yeah, he is in Toronto/GTA. Consider yourself as thrifting with a handicap every time you go out.

Picked up a Brooks Brothers tie with a tag I don't recognize, any idea of age? Where's the ThyphoidJones signal when I need one?
