On mine, the eggplant eight is so dark that they look black even in the sunlight. (6K date code.)

Well let’s keep up the momentum with Tom-lasted loafers from Brogue. Would easily be my favorite loafers if the fit was a little better……..

Absolutely. It’s the one item that stranger’s actually compliment me on. Mine is the small size with a single clasp.

Just hit 2 years with my Indy's. Really no complaints...super comfy and it remains my 'go-to' boots for any occasion. This has seen rain/mud/snow/hike trails (accidental).

Classic American Unlined Penny.. been wearing these for too many decades to count. Bought a backup pair right before they were discontinued.. new in closet boxed with all the goodies. Wouldn’t sell them for anything.. my favorite go to shoe.. they pack light light too..

You are both lucky and wise beyond your years Chip. Wish I had the foresight to grab another pair (though I probably would have gotten the wrong size). The one's in this post we're grabbed off the Bay and I love-em. Color is fantastic. My pair, which I purchased directly from BB, sat in my closet for years unworn as I came to the painful realization that they we're too large. But I refused to sell them until I was able to find a replacement. Those should land this week and hopefully they fit. Fingers crossed.

Baudoin & Lange.. light weight and very sturdy build.. up to three pairs.. no loafer socks required.. slip on pure comfort.. found them on this thread… I wear them a lot in my climate..

I checked my pair today and I didn't see any pinking issues. I'm sorry your pair has them. Hopefully you'll grow to love them even with that quirk.
