Hate speedhooks...especially Aldens unless it is a chamois leather or something similar. I generally do not consider makeups with speedhooks unless super special build. If Alden went to 3 speedhooks instead of four i would re-consider

I'm moving toward a preference for speed hooks. I find all eyelets to be a pain to get on and off and tough to tighten
the laces from bottom to top. All eyelets do look better but don't seem to be as functional. I've never had the problem
of the hooks snagging my pants.

First time out for my reverse chamois boots. So far I'm very pleased.
I was on the preorder for the black calf grain boots on the grant last from Leffot but have since come
to the realization that the grant last just doesn't work for my foot. Leffot was nice enough to transfer my
deposit over to these greenwich boots. Very happy with their customer service.

Single waterlock. Mine are from the seconds list, as well. I believe that's how TSM clears out their sale-priced Aldens. Mine came in a regular green Alden box, not the traditional generic white box seconds come in.
