On every hoodie I have previously owned, the mfr has trimmed excess flap material on the interior of the zipper. They then stitch the entire length of the zipper and use a tape to cover the interior. IMHO, this provides a finished look. I was surprised to discover that the $200+ black marl hoodie I just purchased from Sunspel did not follow this practice. Rather, they left the excess material there and simply sewed the top and bottom, letting the flap hang loose. I think this results in a product that looks rather unfinished. Am I obsessing too much about this, or do I have a valid concern. will try to post images of the two different looks here.
