For your consideration is a pair of size 6.5, standard width, Marrone horsehide boots from Truman. Details are as follows:
Last: Truman Service
Leather: Marrone horsehide
Size: 6.5
Width: Standard D
Toecap: No
Hardware configuration: All eyelets
Hardware color: antique brass
Toe construction: unstructured
I bought these as a Christmas gift for my significant other via the sample sale in December of 2016. I don't believe these would be considered seconds, as I can't find anything wrong with either boot. I imagine they were made as samples of smaller-sized boots.
My girlfriend absolutely loves them, however, quite unfortunately, they were (and still are, despite all her willing of her feet to shrink) too small for her. She hasn't allowed me to sell them yet, because she was married to the idea that one day, if she thought about it enough, her feet would shrink to size, or she take matters into her own hands and cut off her pinky toe so they'd fit. As such, they've never been properly worn, only tried on several times (with the same result, I might add).
Pictures were taken with an iPhone, at night, in a darkish room--lighting is an issue with the pictures. If you google Truman Marrone horsehide, you can find better pictures that show the leather in more natural lighting, which highlights the variation of the leather. Personally, I think it's a fantastic leather--lots of nice variation in tone and I think it will lend itself rather nicely to wear.
About sizing: Truman stuff runs very much true to size. My girlfriend wears a size 39-40 (European, 8-8.5 US womens) in Nikes, and a size 6 (mens) Iron Rangers, size 6 (UK, womens) in Tricker's 6230 last, size 6 (UK, women's) Carmina Oscaria last. I think these would comfortably fit someone who wears shoes half a size smaller than she does.
I paid $18 for shipping on these--shipping will be calculated to wherever you're located. I can easily ship to the US or Europe (shipping to the US is approximately the same as shipping to the EU for me).
If you're interested, you can respond here, but I don't frequent styleforums (dangerous for the wallet, as, if you're reading this, I'm sure you understand) your best bet would be emailing me at ollyisk at gmail.
Cheers!
