I just decided to take a month break from finance before returning to business school and am volunteering at an animal shelter. Will take lots of pictures of the dogs for you guys.

Am I the only one having this problem.

My dog can't walk past a dog shop, he's like a small child who has to go and see if there's something he "needs".

Yeah, a place that sells dog treats etc.

I think he can smell them, because he finds them down side streets etc., where I know he has ever been.

At the shelter I volunteer at the dogs do this all the time for a local tea shop (Harney & Sons). Especially so if it is hot and they are of the fluffier variety.

Anyone here ever use a furminator? amazon has them on sale right now. No matter how much I brush, everything is always covered in fur

I love this thread.... I just became a dog owner after picking up this guy in Texas. He was running around San Antonio surely to get hit by traffic. No tags, covered in fleas, and shaking from fear. This was near the end of our american road trip and we brought him on the road with us. Slept in the car with us, and slept in our tent too. Sure made things a bit harder to do, like posting up at a bar and drinking our faces off but I think we are better off anyway. Here's him in a wal-mart as we are picking up pet supplies, another from a fall walk and the last is his first snow! Also, guesses on what mix he is are welcome!

Our adopted hound dog Carol in her element. I wish I hunted just so I could let her do her thing. Hound minds are sort of hard to comprehend. She is not too into "playing."

Cozy though.

Pretty convinced the papasan is a two-seater.

I use one on my cat, JRT and lab. It cuts down on loose hair a lot, more than any other brush or gadget we've tried, but won't eliminate it entirely. You'll still need a lint roller from time to time.
