What are some helpful tips we could post to show a menswear neophyte that they may be shopping at a bad store where they will get poor advice and low-quality clothing?
Here are a few warning signs I will offer:
1) They regularly have a "3 Suits for $199.00 offer"
2) They sell matching tie/ pocket square sets
3) They sell shirt/ tie combo sets
4) The salesmen look like pimps
5) The salesman's tie is tied so that the bottom is six inches above his belt buckle. You can see this because he is wearing a shirt with contrasting collar and cuffs without a suit coat on.
6) There are suits available in mauve, aqua and chartreuse.
7) Salesman's suit has horrible tailoring.
8) Salesman is not wearing a suit.
9) Suits available from manufacturers that went out of business in the late 80s.
10) Shop is owned by man named "George Zimmer"
What else?
