I just bought a pair of Persols, based in part on input from this site. I've been wearing Oakleys for a while and wanted something more classic and less sporty looking for everyday wear. I really like them, but have one issue with them: After wearing Oakleys, the Persols, with their glass lenses, feel heavy. I think with proper adjustment, they'll be fine, but it's taken a little getting used to.

Which model Persol did you get? I've been lusting after them for awhile
I wound up buying the James Bond model that others were talking about on here. I have high cheek bones and have trouble finding glasses that don't sit on my cheeks (I love classic aviators, but can't wear them for that reason). That particular model fit like a champ when I tried them on at Sunglass Hut. I ordered them here:

I've done almost exactly the same. I wore Oakley wires in high school. After college and starting my career I wanted more "mature" sunglasses. I purchased the Bonds Persols based on forum suggestions and trying them on multiple times in store. I purchased them at FramesDirect, but remember to use the forum link at the top of the screen instead of the direct link in order to support the forum.

I'm still semi-undecided about the Bonds Persols (I've worn them twice aside from trying them on in store). Sometimes I love them and other times I don't. I guess thats the way I am will all my clothes though. Being 1/2 asian I also have high cheek bones and a smaller nose bridge. Like you, I'm having to get used to the heavier frame compared to wire sunglasses and my VERY light Mykita glasses.
