After having done 8 pairs of MTM trousers (and keeping the last 4 where i've found my perfect fit) I can probably help with some insights.

2 SS and 2 AW, greys and one green.
You really can't go wrong with these colors as they will work with pretty much anything from navy, green, beige and brown jackets and all shirts like white, blue, denim etc. Honestly, apart from maybe a pair of jeans and maybe a cream/white trouser if you like light trousers, I don't think you need anything apart from these.

Regarding rise - I only added 1 cm in the front, you can add plenty to make them even higher rise.

Light grey tropical wool - 595.401/2
I think you have this as a suit, right?

Thank you very helpful. The green one was a top seller in the store when I worked. I love it.

I am more interested in if I should also incorporate some patterns but I will start with the basics as I reshape my wardrobe.

Honestly, I would never go with patterns for odd trousers. Maybe a subtle check or houndstooth, but a plain one will always be more useful. If I would choose just one, it would be the mid grey textured wool. Works with all colors and seasons.

Hello everybody,
So far I've only worn chinos by Charles Tyrwhitt in 30/30 and now I want to order my first chinos from Suitsupply in navy.
Would the "Porto Chino" with a low rise be more suitable or the "Blake Trouser" with a high rise if you have short legs?

And what size would most closely match a 30/30? If possible, I would even prefer waist size 29. Would that be 44 or even 42 at Suitsupply?

If anyone wants this exact pair of navy porto's (BNWT) in a size 34 then holler at me. They don't fit me and they are looking for a new home (pet-friendly, like long walks on the beach too).

Effect of my little experiment with custom made by SuSu. I have chosen single button closure with wide peak lapel (yep, I am wide lapel guy ;) Single button was chosen mainly to lower button stance, and I liked the effect :) I had already trousers made from that fabric, so now I have a suit :) On the last photo I have shown roll of lapels after a little work with iron, I am really satisfied with that.
Sorry for awful quality of photos.

With those lapels and a single button closure, I would have stayed away from patch pockets. But to each their own.

No offense, but thanks for those pictures, I will definitely not take the wide peak lapel, the gorge is way too high. I hoped it would look like the "low peak" from their RTW line, which I think is perfect for a peak lapel.

Looks good! I actually did the same thing with great results. What options did you choose for the jacket? Shoulder type etc.

For anyone looking to make custom made, either in store or online, I can really recommend the "Tropical wool" fabrics that are at no extra cost, so you get a full suit for ~400€, which is great value. I have the Navy and Light Grey fabrics.

Any pictures? I have been looking at these fabrics for some time. Wrinkle resistant? How are they holding a crease?

Their Washington low peak is absolutely stunning.

i just wished they would make it in a Havana instead of always the Washington fit

they would clean up with a Havana Wide Lapel Low Peak fit.

Unfortunately you can’t even make it in custom

I would take into account the fact that the high gorge of the pointed lapel does not actually look that intimidating on the Washington fit because it has a fair amount of padding - for Suitsupply. It looks bad on unpadded or lightly padded shoulders though.

Nah, I sold my classic washington peak lapel suit because the gorge was also too high. the peak looked liked it was going over your shoulders. The structured shoulder didn't help for me.

I now purchased the washington odd jacket in petrol with the low peak - one of my favorites by now.

I also like more lower gorge from Wash unlined cut and I hoped it will be like that.
That jacket will be mainly worn as odd jacket, so I opted for patch pockets and other more casual stuff. I wanted "Tagliatore-like" jacket and I have it, I think.

This is the light grey and navy. Great crease holding, seriously. Dry, kind of a subtle texture which makes it work great both for formal and more casual suits.

Navro, Marccarlsson, am I correct to understand you both opted for a pleated shoulder in these pictures?

I had some terrible experiences with pleated shoulders when Suitsupply's MTM suits were still produced by Munro, but these shoulders look a lot more muted and subtle. Would very much like to learn how you feel about these.
