Solid color v. Speckled pants?

Speckle pants, I wish I knew the name. They are the ones made of two different colored threads so that the weave shows alternating thread colors instead of a solid color if there were only one color thread.

Here is the question: I have a short ten minute presentation to give in school at a forum/conference like event showing off student research projects. I have never worn such pants, but I have a pair of those speckled things and was wondering if they would be alright for such an event, or if they do not work so well?

I'm 19 and my presentation is at college where anyone in the world can attend. Which reminds me, if you're in town,...

Anyway... would those work alright, or should I stick to straight up solid color?

Thanks much!

Maybe a pair of gray gabardines?

Yes, those are fine (if that's what you're talking about.)
