A bit off topic but what kind of shirt is that that you are rocking? I like the color and fit. It's looks nice untucked and not too long, but looks like it could be dressed up at the same time. very versatile. Did you have to tailored?

^^ It's MJK's (Michael J Krell - Forum Affiliate) slim fit blue chambray shirt. It's a great shirt and I would agree can be both casual and dressy. I'm not sure if he has any of the slim fits left as he's moved on to more regular/roomy fitting clothing, but still nice. I would contact him.

^ I'm tired of longtime members spamming up threads, I wish this shameless plug stuff was better monitored. You're not the only one, this stuff is rampant among regular posters. You have a FS thread in the proper place, great, please stop spamming it elsewhere. Also, I don't see how it could be considered a PSA since it's personally, and commercially driven. Thought more regulars would know better. edit: Wonder if this has any application? Though, I'm obviously not a mod, so I'm not 100%. http://www.styleforum.net/announcement.php?f=13&a=25

Right or wrong, you're really coming across like a tattle-tale.

i'm not a typically a proponent of spamming, but here's my feeling on it:

there are sooooo many damn threads in that forum that things get buried easily and quickly. on top of that, there's a no-bump policy so you can't really keep them in the public eye very well.

i figure this is a thread for a specific thing and i'm in the position to help someone get a pair of these pants at a great price that would likely be missed otherwise. it's not like i'm just randomly inserting it into a thread about bamboo underpants or something.

I figured I'd revive the thread with a pic of my first time wearing my new Docker City Slim Fit Chinos. They show a slight break with the Tretorn's I'm wearing here, but with desert boots or shoes, the break goes away. So far I'm really enjoying these.

Any suggestions for a relatively thick non-denim pant? I feel like my chinos/khakis are always too thin for my liking, looking for something more substantial...

Those are some cool looking chinos. Did you have to size up or down? Or, did you just get your regular size?

They are surprisingly nice considering the price (about $25-$30 on sale at JC Penny/Macy's/Sears). I sized them as I traditionally do with chino/dress pants (30x30 in my case). Definately try several of the same pair/size on though as I noticed that the quality control isn't something to brag about. Trying on various pairs of the different colors in the same size, I noticed some waists were looser while others were tighter, and I also noticed some lengths were slightly shorter than others.

And to JGP above, I would give these a shot. They have a thicker than norm chino fabric that I think will go great in the summer just as much as in the winter.

tonio028, if you wouldn't mind telling, what is your height and weight? I usually wear a 30x30 and those Dockers look good, especially at the price. I want to make sure I'll have a comparable fit.
