I respect the authenticity of your shoe philosophy, but I still don't get what u don't like about it. Is there a rule u can't have a counter on an NST? Apart from that it ticks Fritzl boxes - doesn't it? hand-stitching, solid sole sans fancy-schmancy fiddles and bevels, definitely not a ' ballet shoe'. and it's got history and heritage. Sure it's gemmed, but so's every other EG.
