Hastily taking off the foot parking break resulted in this tear and rubbing of the toe
A shoe repair place in a mall nearby glued the tear back on for free, and my question is whether i can make the tear and disturbance in the leather vanish? Would a good cobbler have the ability to fix this? Would it involved sanding down the leather flush at the toe?

And these church's i found thrifting, the suede is dirty which im sure a cobbler could clean no problem. How about the soles? How do they look?

I think there are posts here quoting soling etc in NY @ 60-75$, EG does a resole on last for about 130£ I guess Church would do the same. Refreshing of suede can be done with a coper brush, suede cleaner (fx from Timberland, the have it for their "yellowboot") and a rubber brush. hth Speed

I think that had a good cobbler (which are few and far between) done the original repair it would have turned out much better. I'm not sure what improvement can be made at this point.
