That thing is hand-made by Kiu Tai Yu himself (which is why there are so few pieces made), and it is just as good as any of the watches made by the independent European watchmakers.

The technical complexity, engineering precision and aesthetics far exceed comparable offerings from Patek, Breguet & Audemars, IMHO. Check them out: FP Journe and A Lange & Sohne
Not to be contentious, but F.P.Journe is firmly ensconced in Geneva, Switzerland, where all of his watches are made. You'll see that on the very first page of his website.
