Hi All,
I was in Old Pasadena today and saw that Rising Sun finally opened. I went in to check out their goods -- Jeans (obviously), t-shirts, shirts and vintage jackets. I met Mike who I believe was the owner and Marion (not sure what his affiliation is). They told me a little about their collection. They manufacture all their jeans on premise using American and Japanese denim using vintage equipment. Their signature is that the 5th belt loop is leather.
I didn't spend too much time there as I was there with my wife and friend. I did try on a pair of one wash jeans (US selvage, $325). The fit was decent -- shortish top block and straight leg, not slim but not tight (at least on me). They will have another style called "1947" pattern after the period, not after a jean, that will be slimmer.
I hope someone here with more denim experience will stop by and provide a better review.
