Yes, the huge, lined-glove paws in that photograph is why I think that there is no substitute for a closely fitted unlined glove. Looks like he's wearing oven mitts.

No you're right, not everything. But gloves clearly should. I'm sure a brogued canopy umbrella would be quite pretty too.
If you are sacrificing comfort for style why even bother wearing gloves in the first place?
