Sounds like our wives have similar priorities. 'But honey, the side table is on sale for only $511. It's marked down from over $600! It's a bargain, the top is made out of marble! Marble!'

How does the saying go... it's easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to ask for permission? But then again, the guy who told me that is probably divorced by now.

Yeah, definitely a bit of a double take when I saw them unworn, but like a lot of stuff, the aesthetic seems to work better on your feet. The toe being unstructured like it is makes for a pretty unique silhouette, so all said and done, I like 'em a lot once I figure out what they'll work well with. Apparently made by Guidi, too.

For real? Definitely not along that Guidi aesthetic.

A lot of the pieces on the Prorsum sale on Gilt today were really good. The prices, however...

Yeah, I was asking the guy about the leathers used, and he said they were made by Guidi in Italy. "The same as the brand Guidi?"

"Um......it's a leather factory in Italy?"

I did some internet snooping and apparently the brand was an operation from the factory under their own name.

They don't seem too bad. I was considering the canvas lace-ups the last go-around but quickly realized I had nothing to wear them with.
Also, I would have killed for the double lapel blazer if they had it in a 44. /dream

I lust after that faded fairisle Prorsum sweater but can't drop $300+ on a knit at the moment.
