You don't have to tell the truth if you really don't want to? It's probably for demographic purposes anyway

I'm hoping that's the case, but I don't want to make something up only to have them verify it with my CC company (is that possible?) and then cancel my order when it doesn't match.

Haven't any other SFers ever bought from ASOS / been asked this?

why does it matter?

It matters because they're already getting my address and full credit card details. Should I also give someone on the other side of the ocean my blood type and passport number so they can mail me a sweater? You should be curious why they want my DOB, not why I don't want to give it to them.

Haven't ordered from Asos in ages but I'm pretty sure I had to give my birdthday too. I always make something up on the spot, I've done it with other stores too and never had any problem.

Protip: if you plan or re-ordering from the same store in the near future, give them a date of birth that's close-by, they might send you a coupon or smthg

I've bought from ASOS before (returned everything  ), and I don't remember whether they asked for DOB. It's probably a) for market research or b) so they can send you a birthday greeting/coupon, maybe both.

If you want to be paranoid about how much organizations know about you, focus your paranoia on the major credit reporting agencies (Equifax, Experian, Transunion).

Bottega cardigan just arrived from Mr Porter (super fast), and I've gotta say, this solitary item came with more than the sum total of tissue paper I had received over the previous 500 online purchases.

*Tween experiences Facegasm* :rimshot:

^GT, I'm guessing the cardigan with the asymmetric cut at the collar? How's it look?

I like Helmut Lang myself, but realllly!? I dunno man. double breasted DR? a bit too fashion forward for me. and what tween said :embar:

I would LOVE to wear that CL fit i posted, though. And I could see myself wearing a few of your more recent fits with the boots, pant tucks, and jackets. :nodding:

It was this one -- I don't think that's what you're describing (?) :embar:

It's heavy as shite, though; thicker than my 16-ply BBBF cardi. I'm pleased with it.

No, no, you're right. I was thinking of a different one. I like the one you got better, actually. I assume it is very nice in person.
