I see fake Ann D totes (she doesn't even make totes like these, if at all!), Dover Street Market Beach bags (why....??), and other ****. At Myeongdong, you can count on someone to always stick a brand name on some large ass black tote. Seriously, fakes of everything there. It's because there's a huge obsession with looking rich, trendy, and fashionable in Korea. There's a huge culture of saving face and one-upping your neighbors in a self-condescending manner.

Saw a random guy in Myungdong wearing a t-shirt with "(n)umber nine" printed on it. He was also wearing True Religions and Oni Tigers, but he could've at least bought the shirt at Boon the Shop...

my favorite fake totes (other than the marc jacobs one) are the n. hollywood bags (yes that's how they spelled it) just sold two $500 suits, a $300 pair of shoes and a bunch of ties for $350... dunno if i should feel good or bad, but figure i'd never be able to offload them anyways and it's nice getting some extra room

Something I'm always very curious of is if 연예인 in Korea actually wear real ****. Things are ridiculously overpriced in Korea and I see people wearing mad ballin' **** sometimes. I was also surprised to see someone wearing Thom Browne in a variety show. 90% of the time I wonder if Koreans actually even know half these brands. They're all stuck on the flashy designer wear ****. Also saw someone wearing the Mickey Mouse adidas collab... goddamn they're fugz

I can see knocking off designs just because that's what people do when they suck, but if this **** had a Balmain logo (like those fake Ann D. Totes) seems odd.

I've seen N.Hoolywood stuff in China. Whether or not it's fake, I don't know.

THey do, usually. They have stylists who troll all the myungpoom select shops all day and the talent agencies bill it against the talent's paychecks.

plus, most of that only really started happening maybe no more than 3 years ago, when they started putting more money into productions. Before that, all the clothes were custom-made and had badges denoting the sponsoring brand (which was always a domestic fashion label)... ahh... the old days of 90's k-pop.

Building a wardrobe from quality brands with limited means isn't difficult if you have patience and scour the B&S forums. BUT, if you're like me, it's still difficult, because almost everything of interest to you is either too big or too small, or gets bought before you have a chance to jump on it.
