Just give all your stuff to goodwill. I can't even be bothered to box that **** up for Spoo.
I have a note in Evernote that I shared with my wife titled, "If I drop dead." It has the safe combination, life insurance, retirement account passwords, etc. and @SpooPoker's contact info so my shoes, sweaters and jackets find a new home (and don't end up at our local goodwill).

I think my kids will take the watches.

Any chance you're looking to adopt a 30-something year old?

I have a bunch of stuff I am going to email Spoo about. You can get the extra credit from NMWA or Epaulet which makes it more worth the effort of sending it out.

Send it to @SpooPoker of Luxeswap. You might not get quite as much as you expected, but nearly everyone overvalues their own stuff, and yes, the right buyer might be out there, but you might also have everything languish for years.

:slayer: thanks Fok

I have like 8 or 9 pairs of John Lobb RtW shoes that don't get worn anymore because I basically only wear my JLP bespoke. I might need to reach out to Spoo.

uh you DEFINITELY need to reach out to Spoo

Can confirm, selling through @SpooPoker is the way to go.

Somewhere in Austin there's a swagged out homeless dude in some eccentric Dries.

Big mistake. Huge

Does anyone here wear Guidi? Im a true US9 in nike/salomon/visvim, but a 41 in margiela/rick owens. What size should I get 41 or 42 I have normal to narrow foot.

Also this may be random but does anyone have a retailer that sells cool metal or non-wood shirt/pants buttons?

I'm an EU 44 (44.5 in Margeila GATs, occasional 45 in RO) and have 2 pairs of "regular" Guidis in 45. By "regular" I mean the unstructured, leather-sock-like models and not the crazy box toes, hikers, etc.

idk how much of an artisinal footwear head you are, but typically you want to size up because the boots shrink during object dyeing. This is less of an issue for their traditional hiking boots, which are severely over engineered and don't shrink at all AFAICT (I have 45s, but they're definitely too big).

I also find the "regular" Guidi lasts super narrow, though the leather's pliant enough that it stretches nicely after 5-10 wears.

This all being said, I would not buy a pair unless I could exchange/return for credit. Too much variability.

Depends on the model, but in general, go up one. I would recommend the 42, at least.

Guidis have been in my wishlist for years, but their prices are really hard to palate. Is there any objective reason (materials/construction/etc) why they charge the same as Edward Green for their boots? Weren’t they a tannery that kinda screwed up their customers by starting to make boots after seeing how much said customers were charging for their boots? Or am I completely off base?

I just placed a single MTO for some Crockett & Jones boots in Horween shell and even with the MTO fee they were cheaper than retail for Guidis. And cost/quality of materials, construction and finishing seem to be well above than for Guidis (you think there’s seconds for Guidis? ha! they’re “artisanal”, everything goes!). And they don’t seem to be a small shop either (like Zam, who charges reasonable prices for his stuff compared to other brands in the same vein, esp. during the frequent sales). Supply & demand I guess, if there’s people out there shelling $1.5k for their boots they’ll keep charging that.

At least have a pair of non-Guidi sidezips in Guidi leather and I paid less than 200 euro for during a sale at Vertice London.

But I still want a pair of Guidis.

i normally take a 39. I have the 795V in a size 40 and the 992s in a 41. It depends on the model.

Too hot for underwear most days haha. Well
The obvious would be the Everglades, but there’s also The Dry Tortugas (Fort right outside Key West), Blue Spring State Park, Crystal River etc if you love nature can’t go wrong with those
These are beautiful locations, thanks man, exactly what I was looking for.

I'm going to vicariously live through youtubers going to these places because I'm currently too broke for this.

I just realized the $$$ I blew on my JMMs could have probably funded a vacation there 2x over.

Oh well, something to look forward to in the future.
