Noob question: Can the boat shoes be resoled?

Yes, they can be resoled.
Was mocassin construction first used with outdoor shoes such as boat shoes and later on adapted to loafers?

I believe Native Americans invented moccasin construction and the first use was as unsoled shoes.

Enjoyed meeting Kyle at Rancourt a week or so ago. Very friendly and he knows his stuff. Ordered a pair of venetian loafers.

Got my Rancourt for RL Telford boat shoes in today. I'm very, very happy with them.

Just got my Ranger mocs today. I'm on the fence as to whether they are a half size long or not. How much heel slip should I be having out of the gate and/or how much room should there be in the back of the shoe if I cram my foot all they way forward?

Thanks much

I have the similar issue myself the other day as the leather stretched out a little after some wearing. I mself then printed the scale that's available on rancourt and found out that I measure a 10.5D as oppose to a 11D on AE provided measurements. However if I tighten up a little of the shoe lace no heel slippage. So I guess I will definitely order 10.5D for my loafer in the future.

Not sure if anyone else is experiencing the same. However, the consensus on loafer seems to vary as well.

If there is heel slip when the shoes are properly laced up, they could be a half size too large.

Definitely feel the same way. We're the same size too.

These are eye-popping.

3 eyed blucher in cavalier CXL. I really like the 3 eyed blucher (or ranger moc x boat shoe) and the thickness of the crepe sole works well on this design.
Is it just me, or are the honey crepe sole makeups from Rancourt looking really nice?

This pictures has caused me to need a pair of green CXL Rancourts...
