Just buy from their stores (not the Outlet's) and develop a relationship with an SA. Remember they work on a % commission - so they are driven to Sell and reward loyalty. I am unsure of the mechanics of their marketing and rewards scheme - however there would appear to be something along the lines of spend xx$ annually = a xx$ Gift Certificate, Invites to Pre-Sale etc. As a previous poster already indicated, they would appear to have significantly reduced Inventory on many of the RLPL (non - Sportswear lines) , such as Suit's, Sportscoat's and Outerwear. IMHO , It's a 'crapshoot' ie; you can wait until the end of the next Sale, which typically drag's through late November, in the hope of finding that $5K Suit reduced by $4K - which is now highly unlikely.....

If you don't get the card in the mail, just go into the store and mention you heard about the private sale. When I've done that, the SA usually mentions the additional kicker without me asking. If not, just ask about the extra 15% and they should give it to you no questions asked.

I've spent a decent chunk of change at RL/RRL stores and still haven't gotten any cards about sales and have had no problems buying stuff during the private sale periods w/ the extra kickers without a code

At the SF store, they're usually nice about it. I've gotten discounts on purple label stuff anytime I wanted, even though it's supposed to be excluded from sales.

It might be starting already, I walked into Ralphs today and they had 2 avocados for $2. Forgot to ask about the extra 15% off.

It's always good to check with the sales associate in person, but not mention exclusions per se. My experience is that they will often ignore official restrictions.
