I saw some good sale prices (30% off) on C&J's, including the Galway 2 in Brown, with excellent size selection availability, as well as several other models. The Galway 2 for example, is 344 Euro (after VAT deduction) plus 35 Euro for shipping, which works out to about $397 USD. See: http://www.la-botte.com/

I never really knew that they were CG though obviously I noticed the very smooth surface.
I've found that they handle bad weather very well and they're my favorite shoes for rainy days.
While there's definitely some creasing (they're less than a year old) it's not to the point where it makes me cry to look at. A wonderful shoe all in all and I'd get a grain version too except I already got a Vass that's very similar to this one (only slightly more elegant) a Meermin and a J. Fitzpatrick brogue. Need a plain derby. :)
'Nuff talk - have a look:

Just received these.. Harlechs in brown cordovan..Took a chance in 8E on these as the Skye 2s fit me great in the same size..

These are a little more snug than I like, but I am sure that these will fit great once the shoes break in and the foot bed settles a bit..

Stunning! Absolutely gorgeous. I wear the same size in Skye 2 and was curious how the fit compared. Very nice! Congrats on your new boots.

Looking good. The brown shell is quite dark. When I receive my Marlows and Lindricks, I may have to leave them out in the sun for a bit to lighten them.

I'm looking for suggestions.

My podiatrist tells me that I need to wear a wider shoe, but I have a fairly narrow heal.

I'd like to get one of the more casual grain C&J shoes or loafers (maybe with Dianite soles).

Any recommendations on which lasts/models have a narrower heal and wider toe box?

Thanks!

I have wider feet, especially across the toes, than normal and a narrower heel. 348 fits me pretty well.
