Did you suddenly lose some keys on your keyboard, Stitchy?
I mean, frosting is delicious. I love frosting. The problem is the cake pales in comparison. I just want it to get out of the way and deliver the frosting to my mouth. Which means, to me, that it is inferior--I don't like it except as a transport mechanism. Pie, I like the whole thing. Ergo, pie is better.
nice try sstitch. but try "would you liek some cheesecake in your pie-hole?"
btw, cheesecake is more pie than cake.
very good cake is very good, but very good pie is the ultimate - there can be no better dessert
Cheesecake is pie in spirit if not in name. It's a dense, rich filling. Definitely wouldn't consider it cake.
cheesecake is cake. that it is why it has the word cake in it.
Pie is more reliable -- have you ever had a bad pie?
Pie is only more reliable if you grade on the most generous curve ever conceived. Most pie is crappy. Soggy, tasteless crust. Overly sweet filling. Ugh, that **** is foul.
"cheesey cream pie" just has a nasty ring to it. Hence cheesecake.
in reality, a cheesecake is more of a custard but made with cream cheese. The inclusion of a crust lends itself more to pie than cake (kind of like why pumpkin pie is not called pumpkin cake)
Also: Cheesecake is neither cake nor good.
