I've been eating this stuff nonstop for the past 4 days. Yum, good stuff, very filling.

Only thing better than a good, home-made pho is bun ga nuong xa with nuoc mam sauce.

Also a big fan of a lot of Indonesian dishes like gado-gado and nasi goreng.

I asked my mother-in-law to share the family recipe - will report back anything I may legally disclose without fear of family retribution!

yeah, I know those old traditional recipies - it will be something like "make pho, serve in a bowl" people who have been making it all their life forget that other people don't know how to make it.

but thanks

No. You'll be surprised at how many Viets frequent ****** pho places, especially out in South Bay.

If you want my recipe, PM me. I've sent it to some other people here and they haven't complained yet. It's not mind blowing or anything, but definitely decent. Speaking of which, I think I'll make a pot this weekend.

Dark was gracious enough to send his recipe to me. Still haven't had a chance to try it yet but it looks and sounds terrific.

I also picked up this cookbook a while back and I think it's quite good for some vietnamese basics.
