I'm completely new to this place, and I'm looking for some good info on all of these online tailor stores, like shirtsmyway, modern tailor,... I work out, and I have a very hard time getting clothes that fit properly, and I really hate what stores have to offer becaue of this. I've been thinking about online custom shirts for months, but I'm too scared to blow the cash on such an unknown. Please share experiences and recommendations with me. I also would like to know which places have the best fabrics and best colors. Alot of what I'm seeing are ultra conservative old man plaids, or very dull colors.

HI there. There are a million threads about MTM on line shirts here.
Many people start with jantzen tailor in Hong Kong
http://www.jantzentailor.com/

Consider the first shirt or two expendable, as it will take you a time or two to adjust the measurements just right. Cost about $50-60/shirt

There are some good options for ready to wear shirts. But you need to know your measurements. I would suggest taking one of your shirts to a tailor for alteration. Once you have something that fits to your liking you can use it as a template for purchasing new shirts (off the rack or made to measure).

I've got my first order in with propercloth.com. I've read some really positive reviews and was actually steered towards them after reading some not so great complaints in some of the other brand's affiliate threads here. This will be my first order with them (should be here tomorrow!) so I can't comment yet but my decision came down to selection, the ability to adjust the first shirt to get the fit just right, and overall customer reviews.

Just my 2¢ but I just got my shirt from mytailor.com and the shirt came back perfect! I am in love with the shirt and didn't have any issues with fit. The only downfall with mytailor.com is that the description of the cloth is not fantastic but you can always call them and get much more detail. Good luck

I do agree. I say know yourself. When you know your measurements, it would be easier to have your clothes tailored or off the rack.

Does anybody know if Modasuite is still in business? I see a lot of negative posts on their facebook page about no response and no delivery of their orders. They seem to have the most style...and most images of their products actually being worn.

Never heard of the Modasuite, but in general, when purchasing online custom shirts make sure you know your measurements and have fully decided on the material of the shirt.

Wow lucky I didn't buy from these guys!! I just checked their website today and they're shutting down their operations!! Sounds like a lot of people are still waiting for their merchandise or their money back!
