Simple. Well done.

Black shirt + jeans is my (the?) summer uniform. If only it would warm up here...

I for some reason didn't know you were that slim. Looks good though like something i'd want to wear. I remember really wanting those Y's shoes when coldrice was selling the brown version but they were a size big. Is the top one piece or just layered? Wish i grabbed the corpus rye rains when i had the chance. I can't remember the last time i saw a fit pic of your's.

The bottom half...
1. You'd benefit from darker jeans with, possibly, a straighter leg. But at any rate, darker.
2. The shoes must go. It is easy to find passable shoes on ebay. Do some research on the lasts. Check the "cool shoes" thread in B&S and the B&S forums themselves.

i appreciate the advice. do you have any recommendations for denim brands that would offer a darker wash? are lighter jeans generally frowned upon?

the only jeans i have right now are banana republic and diesel. i've seen names tossed around here, like APC, 45RPM, Nudies, etc; there are just so many unfamiliar names that it would be nice to know which are the best.

I think this is really good. Good fit from head to toe.

Your first pic made me think of a recent post by Matt with a similar theme, which he pulled off rather well.

Thanks everyone who responded. I noticed that the Matt pic referenced by Warlok (nice avatar btw, did you see this thread?
http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=57481). Notice that Matt has virtually no break, which is not my preference. I like your observation about the belt and I think you are right. As to whether the AE's go with the jeans...I guess I think the rubber soled AE in that color are probably casual enough...typically I don't wear jeans to work though. I can see that the shirts are a bit large (at least for the SF crowd). I am 5'9" and 155 lbs, so tend not to fill out the shirts and try to have them taken in.

JD what does "lengthen your top half" mean??
