based on the prices i would only buy from shoehealer and STP (best prices but is a crap shoot i agree)
Could you post STP's url?
FYI, Herring Shoes sent me a pair of Loake with defect without advance notification. There is a can of polish with the shoes. I've no idea if the polish is free by default or it is makeup. They used UPS with brokerage. The reply to my enquiry is just with one sentence while Pediwear and Shoe Healer both gave very detailed replies.

What's up, yo? Just got my pair of Derby wing tip boots in coffee from Sierra Trading Post. Like others here, I got a screaming deal. I've always been an Alden man. This is my first pair of Tricker's and I'm freaking thrilled. I love 'em. They look way, way better in person than they do in photos and fit great. In fact, about fifteen minutes after I got them out of the box and on my feet, I logged onto STP again and bought a pair for my brother.
I want more. Can you guys steer me to the best place(s) for an American to buy Tricker's? Sierra Trading Post has a limited variety. I know about Retricker on Ebay, but I'd prefer to not buy irregulars. But I'd also prefer to not pay $700 for a pair of shoes/boots.
What do you guys recommend? Thanks. I'm very pleased to be a member of the Tricker's brotherhood.

The boots look great. I really like the coffee. Are these the same as have been described here as the "not Stows?" I'm curious how you find that they fit in comparison to Aldens. This last is said to be a bit narrow. How does the sizing compare to, say, the Barrie last? Thanks in advance.
Thanks, Simplicio. You know, believe it or not, I've never had a pair of Barrie last shoes/boots. The good news (for me, anyway) is that I suspect that these Tricker's Derby boots fit similarly to the Barrie last. Allow me to explain. These are definitely wider than the Leydon last, which I do own. I would not describe these Tricker's as narrow. I think they're accurate for an American "D" width, similar to Allen Edmonds' "D" width, for instance. I do notice some looseness in the heel, however, which has widely been described as an attribute of the Barrie last. So I'm thinking that - being wider than the Leydon last and loose in the heel - they are probably pretty similar to the Barrie last. But that's a guess because, as I mentioned, I do not own any Barrie last Aldens.
I also do not own any Tricker's Stow boots, so I can't compare them. In fact, in looking through the different retailers' websites, I can't tell the difference between any of the Tricker's wing tip boots. Can anybody else shed some light on this? What's the difference between the Derby, the Stow and the Malton boots?
Thanks
