You're right. It's never a good idea to meet your heroes, it's usually a disappointment.
I was surprised to bump into Vox at Boston Logan airport. He was running the shoe shine stand. He was understandably a bit embarrassed and tried to play it off acting all incognito but he gave himself away by the way he scowled at me while he was applying edge dressing to my Allen Edmonds seconds.

I was pleased to see that your Seconds were tied in a reef knot, and that the teeth that you still have left are straight for an Englishman.

LOL......!

Momentum is building...although it is too early to call it a groundswell.

If I remember correctly, Reevolving is in the outer, outer, outer NYC area.

So, the potential for polling now exists.

I hope that SF Senior Member iroh, who has written several guides in the Flusser mode, will be able to attend.

Well now that brings a good idea, with so many “key” people available we should have seminars such as: “CVS cloth tape: Its application and proper usage.”

Seriously though, let us see if you gentlemen can follow my argument without putting too many words in my mouth.

I suggested that the 21st-24th would be a good time for a meet-up in New York because “so many” of our members will be in town for the trade shows happening throughout the city. Mr. Booth disagreed with my postulation that “so many” members are in the “business”, and presumably also with the idea that they would be in town. I countered with a list of people I considered to be in the “business” (though admittedly not a good list of people who would be in NYC, it was just off the top of my head). Mr. Booth did not like my list. Mr. Viral decided for some reason that I am an autograph hound and am going to somehow coerce people to show up to a, yet unplanned, meeting.

There you have it. I still think those dates are a good for a meet-up. Who is in?

Mr. Viral what night is best for you? I’ll get your autograph.

Riveting recap.

May I suggest that anyone who announces they are "in the business" at the door receive two free drink tickets followed by a sharp kick to the groin?

At least Claymore will be in New York, if you can remember what that's like.

Note to self: Next time we have an SF meet up in NYC, be sure to have lefty check credentials at the door, and to present complimentary "gifts".

I'll have you know that I've been living in America long enough to learn to take good care of my remaining teeth. It's important living in Texas, as many of the bars here in te south have a strict three tooth minimum door policy.
