Confidant pants are nice too. I have two pair of the shorts that I like for the bike, but they are a bit long for my tastes.

Also, to answer the previous question about the courier windshirt, I have one and never find a reason to wear it. If I need a jacket I usually want something warmer, and if I want a shirt I usually want something that is less crinkly. I am going to resell mine.

The Highline Blazer is interesting. I'm not sure about having a waterproof layer laminated onto wool though. I prefer having more breathability.

Yak is a nice fiber, as long as it's not cheap yak. I had a cheap yak sweater and it pilled like crazy, although still not as bad as the Land's End wool sweater I had (I could shave the pills off, and have more within 30 minutes).

I like the Confident Pants that I have, but I don't need another pair.

I think I'll wait for the next drop before getting anything.

Are the Confidant pants the same as before?

From what I can see on the website, they've made some small redesigns to the confident pants. The front pockets are different, the belt loops are moved a bit, they switched to a zipper fly, and they now have articulated knees. I'm not positive about the fabric, it's the same wool/spandex mix, but I can't be sure if the weight is the same. My guess is it's the same.

According to the mailing list, it's 2 weeks until the rest of the fall line comes out.

Yeah, I wasn't really impressed with the first preview of this Fall. I'm hoping something catches my eye when the full line is out in a couple of weeks. I'm glad they re-did the Riding Jacket. I always liked the idea, but hated the fit and look of it. I haven't tried it on or felt the new fabric, so I can't judge yet. I emailed them and asked what the main changes were in the 2.0. They said the new fabric and adding 1" to the waist.

I'm really hoping they'll have some weekend promotion on some of the spring items. I'd really like to pick up the rebound jacket for a discounted price.

The rest of the fall line is up now. I'm probably getting a Wax on Blazer, or perhaps Wax on Shirt.

For the waxed cotton pieces, I wonder what they mean about the "synthetic wax" not needing reapplication... would like more info there. I like the Wax On Blazer as well. Maybe this is the year I get a down shirt. lol

I finally picked up a pair of Asylum pants to go with my jacket. Hello, ski season.

I found them on Geartrade, where Backcountry.com (just an hour and a half from my house) had listed them at half price as new, but dusty.

Finally managed to get my heads on the Modus Trench based on a forum member's recommendation. It's very good. Size small - fits ever so slightly large but that allows room for layering. Construction is better than some other Nau pieces I have come across. It should stand the test of time.

Sorry this doesn't help you but I have a Modus Trench and it's really a great piece. I used it extensively in New York last Fall and it really kept me dry and it's fashionable enough to work over a suit or into a nice restaurant. I don't plan on selling it though.

For anyone that's in the Santa Barbara, CA area, the Friends & Family sale just started. Yesterday was the "private" preview and the rest of the sale goes on til October 17th. Full size runs, not samples,50-75% off.

Here are the sale price for Nau jackets. Full size runs with daily restocks. They also have denim but that's pretty much it. It's very slim pickings (variety) for Nau at the sale.
