Hi I was just wondering if anybody knew of a source for cheap small sized suit hangers (15-16" wide). I know kirby allison has beautiful hangers but I cannot justify spending $40 on a hanger.

Ideally I'd like to just get a cheap plastic hanger that has thick shoulder support, but I'd be okay spending up to around $25. (butler luxury is around $25 but after shipping and handling comes out to over $40 as well).

(edited as there seems to be some confusion about my price preference)

Just get a mainetti hanger. Most Italian RTW brands used them. They have a very nice faux wood hanger.

There is a official site for US where you can buy from. But there is a minimum.

Thanks but they only have full size hangers...I'm looking for 15-16" hangers for a size 36 suit. Also you need to buy 70 hangers at once -_-

I have a bunch of Ralph Lauren wooden suit hangers (high gloss lacquered finish, 1" thick). Most of them are ~17" wide, with a few ~16" wide.

And I also have a bunch of black wooden Saks hangers (some are gloss, and some are matte finish). ~1" at the center,a and ~2" at the end. They are 17.5" wide.

PM if you are interested.

Have you tried if a 17" won't fit a size 36 jacket? It should actually be no problem.

If you want a good solid wooden hanger, you should look at Toscanini or Nakata hanger. Pricier but worth the money.

Thanks for the suggestion, but yes I own a few hangers in the 17" range and they only fit my overcoats.

eHaberdasher has 41cm hangers which are just over 16" and are $15 - I don't have one personally but the plastic one that came with my suit I really like

Try the usual places for cheap things: Walmart, Walgreens, Target, Ebay, Amazon. For hangers, also try Container Store
