If you can wear a Loake F fitting, then you probably will want to downsize. The Pennine is a generous last. I like it because it has plenty of room over the instep - useful if you want to wear thick socks or, like me, you have a high instep.First time posting here. I'm interested in a few pairs of Loake boots (Sedbergh, Bedale, Hebden) all on the Pennine last. I've done a lot of my own reading on the internet but hope to nail down sizing with the experts here.
I only have one pair of Loake Laxford in 8.5F. For most US and Canadian brand boots (Red Wing, Chippewa, WM Moorby, and Allen Edmonds), I wear between 8.5EE to 8.5EEE, depending on the last of course.
For the above Loake boots, if I am reading it right, I should buy 8G? Or should I size down to 7.5G?
Unfortunately, the closest store is about a 2 hour drive. And being in Canada, the risk of buying online and getting the wrong size, would be very costly. Spousal customs is already on high alert. So anything that gets past her, has to fit.
I would appreciate any assistance in this regard.
