Like fabrics but unlike sheen

Usually I'm fairly certain of matching SC with trouser. Or certain enough for me.
But I have a wedding dinner to attend and want to look my best.
So the question I have is the following... The SC and pants are both an almost
50/50 wool/linen mix. However the SC has little sheen and the pants are sharkskin
like.
I think it works but if I was sure I wouldn't be posting. Any feedback is appreciated.

Honestly, unless you're wearing a suit, I think it's better if there's some difference in texture between the jacket and the trousers. If the jacket has sheen and the trousers don't, I'd take that as a plus.

I'm assuming that casual SC and trousers is appropriate for the dress code?
