Maxi coat and kaftan equally oversized? Im 46-48, 44 is the right choice for both?

Maxi coat is best to go down a size simply because it's got some structure to it in the shoulders. Kaftan, up to you whether you want that slouchy shoulder look or not.

Is anybody familiar with the old lemaire number sizing?

Bought a yak rib sweater which is size 1, was sold as a xs/s but feels a bit bigger. I know some lemaire bits do come up a bit big though. I don't think to so big it's unbearable, or may risk trying to shrink it a bit.

Yep, 1 = 44/xs, with the amount of oversized-ness varying with each piece.
