It looks better when worn like in this pic. And what I like about it is its not heavy but will still be warm for winter. Also the weathered/ lived in look of the leather is great because I think a great leather jacket has to have history like you've worn it so many times during many life experiences and situation that it has become a part of you like a second skin. That's why I don't like wearing leather jackets because of this, you need to have a certain persona to make a leather jacket look good on you.

It's called a jacket.

no offense (and nothing personal) but i detest it when people take photographs like that. there's absolutely nothing that can be seen about the jacket except a vague silhouette. no details, structure, nada...

unfortunately i see a lot of that kind of photos on SZ too...

I can make out the jacket fine on my computer, but i agree that they went overboard with the contrast. I would love one of those rick furry jackets if they weren't a billion dollars.

Hey guys, I'm pretty new to nicer leather jackets, and I recently purchased one off the B&S and was curious to see if leather jackets can be altered? Or made slimmer? Thanks guys.

If you wash your jacket it will get slimmer but be careful not to destroy it. I've seen a thread dealing with this subject either on this forum or stylezeitgeist. It gives you step-by-step instruction on how to wash your jacket. Note though, that not only the jacket will shrink but the material itself will alter - it's gonna become more wrinkled and distressed. Another option would be to take your jacket to a good tailor and see what he can offer you in terms of altering your jacket.
