Do all kiton suits have trousers that are narrow at the ankle? Are they narrow like Borrelli trousers are?

I just checked my suits and odd trousers, all are at least 9" at the ankle, most are 9 1/4" or so. I tried a suit with 8.5" width at the ankle of the trousers, and HATED it, looked terrible on me and inappropriate for my line of work.

kiton owners and experts, please chime in!

My only Kiton suit has pretty full trousers. It is, however, a very heavy three piece flannel, so maybe that has something to do with the width.

Their pants are of low quality relative to their jackets.

FWIW, 8.5" is pretty darn classic.

I think with slim fitting trousers, 8.5 inches is a good width, whether cuffed or no cuff.

but my paul stuart, zanella, oxxford, etc. trousers are all at least 9 inches at the ankle width-- it may be my build, but I couldn't seem to handle much less than that. will I be hard pressed to find kiton suit trousers wider than 8 1/2 " at the ankle??

No, I believe they come at 23 or 23,5 cm normally, but I haven't seen a pair in years.

Depending on your waist size, you will find Kiton pants with 9-9.25 inch leg openings. Quite frankly, I think the Kiton "look" looks bad with pants that are wide than 8-8,5 inches at the cuff (My pantaloons are 7.5-8). The three brands you mentioned having wider legs have a totally different aesthetic than Kiton

thanks, fellas! good input and advice, I'm considering ordering a new suit this year MTM or off the rack, think I might go with another Brioni as planned-- trousers worn on the natural waist with braces (not sure I will try this with 8.5" ankle-width again anytime soon).

still trying to figure out what pattern to go for, but it'll definitely be another 300 gram weight wool. a sartorial friend of mine sorta poo-pood the sharkskin idea, put in another vote for a birdseye or nailhead. decisions, decisions.

I do MTM and they will do want you want. Many of my trousers taper slightly but it's a decently full width at the cuff.
