I hope the we got some new colors for the rider. Would be cool if they did olive or pink again. JE has dropped so many black riders

I dyed my weird stained Sochis with navy Rit dye. They came out with some purple/violet tones. I think the strings look cool. I wonder if JE will ever dye their strings?

You need to follow the formula, you can’t just use navy. They have recipes on their site, it’s also best to prepare them for dye first by using a color remover, then dye using a formula/recipe, then use a fixative.
Read this to get a better understanding, it’s very informative.

Whats the consensus on the JE Rider Jacket in terms of quality? There is one of grailed that keeps dropping price to the point where I'm considering snagging, but the made in India thing is giving me pause. I know other leather pieces are supposed to be great, but haven't heard anything specific to the Rider.
Made in India? They used to be made in LA. I have the summer rider which was made in LA, and two black means which were made in Japan. All are fantastic.

I washed these a few months ago and somehow they came out with some discoloration. I think it’s because they sat on the detergent as the load was starting.

I just used regular Rit dye from Ace Hardware. The package said to leave in the dye for 10-30 minutes. Mine were in closer to an hour.
Read the PDF I tagged you in. If you use a test piece and the color is too light it’s better to add more dye in small increments than just leaving it in the bath for longer.
