MK's Dover looks rounder than EG 606. Would you day the toe looks closer to GG's DG70?

Fujibana (ie MK's Dover) has a round toe last, probably closer to EG202 or GG06 (and not as sharp as DG70). There is also a square toe version of the same last, similar to EG606.

I know there are several tanneries in Japan that make cordovan, the most famous being Shinki Hikaku. (http://www.shinki-hikaku.jp)
Shinki's cordovans are widely used by domestic brands (Miyagi Kogyo, Regal etc...) as well as by cordwainers.

Shinki's water-dyed cordovan (the ones used for shoes) do look different from Horween's Shell cordovan. Since they are water-dyed (whatever that means), the colors are slightly mottled, which makes them quite beautiful. The colors don't look as deep or as glossy to begin with (vs. Horween's shell), but they do develop the depth and sheen with age.

Here some recent pictures I took of some Miyagi Kogyo (RTW) shoes in Shinki cordovan.

@nutcracker

Thanks for all the information. Took some time to go through all pages. Keep up the great work!

Also, do you by an chance know what shoes were being shined in the Garrastyle shoe shine video back in page 40 (I think) by Mr. Hasegawa?

Honestly, I have no idea what those shoes are. If you dig that video, you should check this one out too.

This promotional video was produced by GUCCI and shows Hasegawa san (Brift H) polishing a pair of their horsebit loafers from the 1980's.

noice, i'm looking for green coloured polish and cream

Yeah, I was there the other day and the colour selection is pretty comprehensive - violet polish, anyone? (actually, i was thinking that this might be a really interesting accent colour to use on my smoke grey boots...)

They do have creams in several shades of green, but unfortunately not for wax polish. I think Saphir makes one in D.Green.
