Did you get the buckle at the same place? I really want to go to a surplus store and find me one.

Yes. Web belt/strap around 3 bucks. The buckle around 1.80, end tab around 1.80. SO a little more than 5 bucks plus tax.

One recommendation for anyone going the Army/Navy route: Buy a second end tab to go on the other (non-buckle) end. This will fix the fraying/unraveling problem you'll otherwise get from that end. Also, if you get the other end tab in another color w/ another buckle to match it, you can switch out the buckles for some variety.

And leave the other end uncut. The straps come in something like a 44 or 48 inch length. Leave it all, and that way you can adjust the buckle end to different lengths for different effects. For example, I tend to make it long when I'm wearing jeans, go shorter with my work khakis.

I didn't know J.Crew did preorders. When did they start doing this?

I like J Crew also, but almost $80.00 for that is a ****. The belt looks like crap.

I just received a response about the red chambray. They said it will be released in march and you can preorder by calling them. I'm up in the air about it. I also asked about the Firemans jacket and they had no idea what I was talking about. I'd really like to preorder that.

How much do you think the Firemans jacket will cost?

You know, this red chambray is either going to the greatest shirt ever, or the greatest let down with all this hype.

I got an email back from "[email protected]" that said to expect the new items by the end of Feb/March.

My question was specifically about the Red Chambray and it being offered in a Tall size. She had no information about any of the Spring items in that regard and was not able tell me what will and will not be in a Tall size. Because of this, I don't think I can pre-order.

J Crew sent me 23 4x6 glossy cards yesterday with all shots from their s/s 2010 collection. I am officially jumping on the red chambray bandwagon. I did the pre-order as well for 2/23.

I vow to spend less this year @ JC. Trying to keep this as my only Q1 purchase.

Except those cognac Alden wing tips I spied today at the Liquor Store for $440. Oh my God. I could blow 2g's on shoes in there in 10 mins, so fn easily.
